Respite Stay

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29  ESV

"Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind"  Romans 12:1b-2a  ESV

Rest is important to one's spiritual walk with the Lord, and many Christians today don’t appreciate the value of down-time and resting in the Lord. Unfortunately, pastors often lead the pack in this regard. Overcommitted schedules and the all too often unrealistic expectations of congregants (in terms of availability) can lead to pastor's feeling overwhelmed, dissatisfied, and unfulfilled. Unfortunately, the end result is often pastor "burnout" and detrimental consequences to their overall health. Rest allows our mind, body, and soul to be renewed, and individuals to "restart" with even more strength and focus.

From the comfortable accommodations, unmatched peace and quiet, hometown hospitality, to the fresh air, unrivaled 360-degree mountain-top view, and first-hand witness to God's handiwork in creation, The Rock Solid Retreat is truly an ideal, one-of-a-kind environment for respite and rejuvenation. Located at an elevation of 9,000 feet, on top of one of the many peaks in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range in Southern Colorado, surrounded by other mountain tops as high as 14,000 feet, the rustic log cabin that awaits you is fully equipped with all of the creature-comforts intended to make your stay relaxing, memorable, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

"But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first."  Rev 2:4 ESV

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 41:30  ESV
